Charlotte Resilience Project

Our Mission:

Our mission is to create a trauma-informed and resilient community.

What We Do

The Charlotte Resilience Project is a community initiative focused on creating AWARENESS of the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma and toxic stress, providing INFORMATION AND RESOURCES on trauma-informed care and resilience, and leading MOBILIZATION efforts to support successful outcomes for children and families.

Our Impact

We measure our impact by tracking our awareness through our “Resilience” film showings throughout our community.

Over 2500 people have seen the “Resilience” Film in Charlotte. We are just getting started with this awareness and are excited to see this number continue to climb.

Community Organizations

To build a resilient community you build partnerships. We are grateful that over 60 community organizations have partnered, committed, and completed a showing of the “Resilience” film.

zip Codes Impacted

We have hosted a showing in 32% of Charlotte zip codes. Our goal is to reach 100% by June 2020.

What We Know

Resilience is a new documentary that delves into the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and a new movement to treat and prevent toxic stress.
